Sant Jordi expand its hotel offer with a spa-hotel

The construction of a charming hotel, with 24 rooms, plans to open a wellness center, pioneers with this new technology, and transforms Sant Jordi in the spa centre "Spa Granadaterapia Shedah San Jorge ".
The uniqueness and historical significance of the buildings which will enclose the hotel, as also the proximity of the town to the airport, were decisive that Granadum Center SL and Lormar Hotels SA, the owner of the property, decided in accordance to approve this project.

The tourist offer will be extended. This initiative complements and extends the tourist offer of the community and the region, because the treatments will be open to the general public, the residents and participants of courses learning about the application of this new technology, may enjoy an advantage. The Direction will also in this sense talk to the owners of the rural inn's in the municipality for making agreements in order to ensure that their guests can visit the therapies.

The town council has promoted a special modification of the urban master plan "Plan General de Ordenación Urbana" with the aim to simplify the implementation of this project. In this context, the mayor of Sant Jordi, Luis Tena, pledged his full support for this project, which promises the town economical benefits.

Community sources confirm that there is already a demand for these products in Asia, Middle East, Europe, and also in Spain. The idea is, however, to convert Sant Jordi in a national and international headquarter in the application and dissemination of this novel therapy.

The pomegranate therapy was developed with the project of Granatium Center, located in Elche, where 95% of the production of pomegranates in Europe are concentrated. In this city, located in the south of Alicante, they produce the variety "Mollar de Elche", which is very rich in Antioxidants. The pomegranate has three times as many Antioxidant as wine or green tea, the reason why this fruit has so many healing properties for the human body. Among other products such as juices, jams and sauces, this company has also developed a range of natural cosmetic products from the pomegranate.
