XI Mostra D’Oficis Tradicionals
On the 6th and 7th of August the “XI Mostra d'Oficis tradicionals” will be held on the Main Square “Plaza Mayor” and adjoining streets, with more than 100 artisans from all over Spain
On the 6th
and 7th of August the "XI Mostra d'Oficis tradicionals" will be held
on the Main Square "Plaza Mayor" and adjoining streets, with more than 100
artisans from all over Spain, including: cutlers, craftsmen who make
traditional tools, grinders, glass makers, potters; wine making and process of
brewing traditional bear, potters, masons, craftsmen and women, etc.
PROGRAM OF THE "MOSTRA"
SATURDAY, AUGUST 6th
11.00 am:
Official Opening by the painter and draughtsman of Castellon D. Lorenzo Ramirez
Portoles with the Vice-President 2nd in tourism D. Andres Martinez Castella and
D. Luis Tena Ronchera, Mayor of Sant Jordi.
Like every
year, the town crier will begin the "Mostra d'Oficis tradicionals" who
is the actor and resident of Sant Jordi D. Joan Molina Arrúe.
17.30 pm:
Continuation of the "Mostra d'Oficis tradicionals". In the Show, we
see ancient everyday trades of the master craftsmen.
20.00 pm: In
the Parish Church, magnificent performance of "SUPRAMÚSICA" of Villareal,
musical group of vocal and instrumental music of the Medieval and Renaissance. Their
musical compositions will be performed by tenor voices, soprano and bass,
accompanied by ancient instruments like the hurdy-gurdy, the saz, the rebec,
the fiddle, the flutes, the theorbo, the psaltery, among others. Sponsored
entirely by the "Exma.. Diputación de Castellón".
The festival
will remain open until 23.00 pm and dine in the inn located in the area of the
Mostra.
